Requirements For The Use Of Electric Actuators
The successful application of HEYUE electric actuators in an industrial environment depends on meeting several critical requirements to ensure optimal performance, safety, and longevity. Proper integration goes beyond simply connecting power and must address electrical, mechanical, and control parameters.
First, the electrical supply must be compatible with the actuator's specifications, including voltage, phase, and frequency (e.g., 24V DC, 120V AC, or 480V AC). An unstable power supply can damage internal electronics. Second, a suitable control signal is essential. For modulating actuators, this is typically a 4-20mA analog signal or a digital command via protocols like Foundation Fieldbus or Profibus. For On/Off types, it involves a dry contact or a voltage pulse.
The mechanical integration is equally vital. The actuator must provide sufficient torque or thrust to operate the valve or damper without being oversized, which could cause damage. The mounting (e.g., ISO 5211 standard interface) must be correct. Furthermore, the operating environment dictates the necessary enclosure rating (e.g., IP67 for dust and water ingress) and, for hazardous areas, specific certifications like ATEX or IECEx.
Finally, integration with the control system is key. This includes configuring limit switches, torque protection settings, and ensuring proper feedback signals are wired for monitoring and diagnostics. Meeting these requirements guarantees reliable and precise automated control.
