What Is The Advantage Of Diaphragm Valve?

Diaphragm valves are a unique class of flow control devices distinguished by a flexible elastomeric diaphragm that acts as both the sealing element and the isolation barrier. This specific design grants them a set of unparalleled advantages in numerous industrial applications, particularly where hygiene, corrosion resistance, and leak-tight service are paramount.

The flexible diaphragm is forced down onto a weir (saddle) by the actuator stem, creating a robust, uniform seal. The valve body can be lined with materials like rubber, PTFE, or PVD, while the diaphragm can be selected from various elastomers, offering excellent corrosion resistance for aggressive chemicals.
